silence and staring
What country are you from?
Belgium!
again silence and staring
Our quest for plans looks like it will have a happy ending. With the some connections we made here and the big help from our professor who's adorable, we found some good maps. Of some parts... In the next couple of days maybe we'll have all the parts we need. During Ramadan everthing closes at 3pm and people go home and prepare for eid. This means they gather after one day of vasting and eat together. Bangladeshi food tastes very good, but still it's too spicy for us.
Because of this early closing time and most of the time we are just too hungry, we eat most of the time our lunch in the guesthouse.
After some trips with students to areas which were not all our study area and some car trips with the professor, yesterday we had our first really useful day of fieldwork. We met some local people who apparently were workig as a tourist guide who also took us to their houses. We weren't the first white people there, though I've never felt that popular before in my life!
One issue here is going to the barber, Phil is still trying to convince me to go and cut it really short, we'll see how this ends...
